Dipl.-Ing. Uwe J. Winter, born in 1963, was born in Hanover. During his mechanical engineering studies, he was already involved in the optimization of processes in the automotive sector. This was followed by experience at a medium-sized mechanical engineering company as assistant to the product manager, project manager and in controlling. Further stations were project management for plant relocations as well as investment and engineering projects.

Award for best project manager
With his first project (Yaris) for Toyota, he was awarded for the best project management by the customer among 300 suppliers. The examination and implementation of lean management methods played an essential role in this.

Terms such as Kaizen, JIT, SMED, Hoshin, 5S, value stream mapping or PULL became his professional passion from then on, which he was able to deepen and successfully implement as assistant to the technical management, production manager and divisional lean manager for a global player in the automotive industry.

In his private life, he finds balance in jogging or cooking for friends.
