Uwe J. Winter, born in Hanover in 1963, is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years of practical experience in industry. During his studies, he specialized in process optimization in the automotive industry – a passion that has accompanied him ever since.

His career began in a medium-sized mechanical engineering company: as an assistant to the product manager, later as a project manager and controller. This was followed by challenging tasks in the context of plant relocations as well as investment and engineering projects.

Excellent project management
His very first project for Toyota – the Yaris program – was recognized for excellent project management among 300 suppliers. Lean methods such as Kaizen, SMED, Hoshin or 5S were not only introduced, but consistently applied and anchored.

Lean by conviction
Terms such as just-in-time, value stream mapping and the pull principle are not just theory for him, but part of everyday life. Whether as assistant to the technical management, production manager or divisional lean manager at an international automotive supplier – Uwe J. Winter stands for measurable implementation success in production and process optimization.

In his private life, he finds balance in jogging or cooking with friends.
